Fall Equinox and Feng Shui
The Fall Equinox is this Saturday the 22nd, seize this opportunity to connect with the natural rhythms of the universe and incorporate this transforming Chi into your spaces Feng Shui style.
Here are a few tips:
~Do a Fall clean up…yes just like spring cleaning! After you’re finished walk in a clockwise motion with your favorite incense. Or make a cleansing spray by mixing some pure water with some of your favorite essential oil and spritzing it around your space. Speak now your affirmations of what it is you are grateful for, what it is you want to welcome into your life, and what you are willing to release.
~Change out table runners, placemats and light fabrics for earthy autumn colors of yellow, orange, earth tones, and gold. Add in some metal items as well using circular shapes, metal candle holders, or incorporate the color white. Doing this creates a grounding energy and balances out the abundant wood element/the harvest of fruits, vegetables, and vegetation decor we bring into our spaces.
~Shop outside in nature before shopping inside the stores. Take a walk or hike collecting natural items to bring into your space like pinecones, leaves, and branches. Gather from your garden or local farm gourds, pumpkins, apples, pears, zucchini, and herbs to make unique arrangements, this creates in your space a more powerful concentration of Chi versus buying faux.
~Follow the Bagua Map (see my homepage) and concentrate on the Love and Relationship, Center, and Knowledge and Self Cultivation Gua’s as these are all Earth element areas in our environments. By nourishing and honoring these spaces using *5 Element theory and Feng Shui wisdom it guides our Yang Summery Fire energy, welcoming it to slow down and be more receptive to ourselves and others while creating a balanced environment .
~ Send thank you letters, emails, messages, or share your gardens harvest with the people in your life who have helped you make it through the dog days of summer letting them know how much you appreciate them. Expressing gratitude is a perfect example of Yin Earth Love, creates Self Cultivation, and reflects the Center Gua of Feng Shui, the balance of all things Yin & Yang (a giving and receiving in this case). This deed also helps create our Heavenly luck, our helpers and angels in our life; seen and unseen.
“I love the changing seasons and welcome the Fall Equinox into my space along with all the transitioning chi. I am open to this harvest energy; clinging to the positive Chi with gratitude, yielding to the upcoming abundance life has to offer, and willing to release the past.” Good Fortune~ S.G.
